Editors

I work with several authors as a critique partner. During that process, I end up providing many services that editors provide, which saves my partners a lot of money. However, I am not a professional editor, do not intend to become one, and will not commit to being anything more than a critique partner.

Book Coaches

Book coaches work with inexperienced writers, providing them with advice on a range of subjects related to authorship, querying, and publishing.

  • Kate R Johnson (The COSTY Lady)
  • Mandi Ann
  • Shawn Whitney Writer

Developmental Editors

Commercial fiction has particular structural requirements. Developmental editors understand what these requirements are and advise writers on how to structure their novels in ways that the book publishing industry requires.

Line Editors

Line editors help authors at the paragraph and sentence level. Once a story is out of the developmental stage (above) and drafting is complete, it is time for line edits.

Copy Editors

Copy editing is the final step of draft production. Once the story is properly structured and all of the drafts have been written and critiqued, your novel is ready to go to a copy editor. This is the final step in the preparation of a manuscript for publication.
