Some of the lessons I offer are restricted to players who meet minimum qualification requirements.
For example, some of my lessons specify that they are open only to players who are 3.0 and over (3.0+).
What does this mean? How does a player qualify for this?
There are three ways to demonstrate that you are qualified for a 3.0+ lessons.
Option 1 – CTPR Rating
Players who have played in nationally sanctioned pickleball tournaments in Canada will have a Canadian Tournament Player Rating Rating (CTPR) recorded in Pickleball Brackets (PBB). I accept CTPR ratings as valid provided a total of no less than 15 CTPR games have been recorded in your profile in PBB.
Option 2 – PBB Club Rating
Some players have played Pickleball Brackets (PBB) games with their home clubs. As long as a minimum of 25 games have been recorded in your profile in PBB, I will accept your numerical rating as valid.
Option 3 – DUPR Rating
Some players have played DUPR games previously. As long as a minimum of 50 games have been recorded in DUPR, I will accept your rating as valid.
What if I don’t have any of these?
Players who aren’t currently rated can easily get a rating through Cedarbrae’s Gateway to Pickleball Leagues program. Simply sign up, play 25 games, and you will have a rating that I can accept under Option 2 above.
What if I don’t want to be rated?
You can bypass all rating requirements of my rated programs by booking a private lesson. When you book a private lesson, there are no rating requirements.
