Evening and weekend leagues at Calgary’s Cedarbrae are organized by ratings so that all players in each league are competitive with each other.
Scores are recorded for all matches and feed into algorithms that generate ratings for every player. Players move up or down through the leagues depending on their record of wins and losses in league games.
Step 1 – Get Started
In order to figure out which leagues new players should enter, Cedarbrae has a gateway league. New players play games in Gateway until they have a rating which determines the league that they will start in.

Step 2 – Join a League
After playing sufficient games in Gateway to earn a rating, new players are placed in a league at their level. From that point forward they can work their way up or stay with a level they enjoy.
